Foundations in Ultrasonography
Building Confident Ultrasound Skills for Veterinary Technicians, Nurses and Early Career Veterinarians

Foundational ultrasound skills are becoming an essential part of modern veterinary practice. For early career veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and technicians, a strong understanding of ultrasound principles and hands on scanning technique is key to supporting everyday clinical care.

Foundations in Ultrasonography is a one day introductory workshop designed to build confidence in basic ultrasound use, from understanding machine controls to performing focused scans and recognising key abdominal structures. This course emphasises practical skills that can be immediately applied in general practice and hospital settings.

The programme combines concise, structured lectures with extended hands on scanning sessions, ensuring participants develop both technical understanding and real world scanning experience.

The workshop is led by an experienced veterinary ultrasonography educator.
