The Vet Circle

A support and learning community for fresh graduate veterinarians in Singapore.
Starting out in veterinary practice can feel exciting, overwhelming and sometimes lonely. The Vet Circle was created to support fresh graduate vets as they build clinical confidence, find mentorship and navigate the emotional realities of early veterinary life.
About The Vet Circle
The first few years in practice can be some of the most challenging years of a veterinary career. Many young vets are learning how to manage cases, communicate with clients, handle mistakes, work in busy teams and cope with the emotional weight of the profession.
Vet Circle is designed to provide a safe and supportive space where fresh graduates can learn, ask questions, share experiences and connect with mentors who understand the journey.
This is not a formal course or therapy programme. It is a community built around support, learning and connection.
Who It Is For?
Vet Circle is open to:
• Fresh graduate veterinarians in Singapore
• Vets within their first 0–3 years of practice
• Veterinarians new to clinical practice in Singapore
• Final-year veterinary students preparing to enter practice
We also welcome experienced veterinarians who would like to contribute as mentors.
Core Pillars
Pillar 1: Clinical Confidence
Practical discussions and learning sessions to help young vets feel more prepared in everyday practice.
Possible topics include emergency triage, anaesthesia basics, client communication, common clinical mistakes, case discussions and practical decision-making.
Pillar 2: Mentorship
Fresh graduates will have access to experienced vets who can offer guidance, perspective and encouragement as they grow in practice.
Pillar 3: Peer Support
A community of other young vets going through similar experiences, creating space for honest conversations and shared learning.
Pillar 4: Mental Well-Being
Open and supportive conversations around stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, imposter syndrome and emotional resilience.
Vet Circle is not a replacement for professional mental health care, but we aim to help members feel less alone and better supported.

Mentorship
Vet Circle mentors play an important role in helping younger vets feel supported as they transition into practice.
Mentorship does not need to be heavy or time-consuming. It may involve occasional check-ins, joining small group discussions, sharing personal experiences, or simply being someone a fresh grad can turn to for perspective.
We are looking for vets who are kind, approachable and willing to support the next generation of the profession.
