Advance Your Cardiac Ultrasound Skills
Take your echocardiography skills to the next level in this intensive 2-day intermediate workshop designed for veterinarians already familiar with the fundamentals of cardiac ultrasound. Led by internationally recognised veterinary cardiologist Dr Kittipong Tachampa, this course focuses on advanced image acquisition, Doppler applications, problem-oriented echocardiography, and interpretation of more complex cardiac cases encountered in clinical practice.
Through a combination of focused lectures, live demonstrations, and extensive hands-on practice, participants will refine their scanning technique, improve diagnostic confidence, and develop a more systematic approach to advanced echocardiographic assessment.
What You Will Learn
Participants will gain practical experience in:
• Non-routine and modified echocardiographic views
• Advanced valve interrogation techniques
• Doppler echocardiography including PW, CW, and Color Doppler
• Recognition of normal versus abnormal Doppler findings
• Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI), speckle tracking, and strain imaging
• Problem-oriented echocardiography approaches
• Assessment of concentric hypertrophy and volume overload states
• Echocardiographic evaluation of feline cardiomyopathy
• Clinical case interpretation and real-world scanning strategies
Why Attend This Workshop?
✅ Extensive hands-on scanning sessions with direct instructor guidance
✅ Small-group practical training for personalised feedback
✅ Learn advanced Doppler and imaging applications used in daily practice
✅ Case-based discussions to improve clinical decision-making
✅ Taught by Dr Kittipong Tachampa, experienced veterinary cardiologist and educator
✅ Ideal progression course for veterinarians already performing basic echocardiography
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is suitable for:
• Veterinarians with prior echocardiography experience
• Clinicians who have completed a basic echocardiography course
• Practitioners looking to improve Doppler and advanced imaging interpretation
• Veterinarians seeking greater confidence with complex cardiac casesPrerequisites
Participants should already be comfortable with:
• Standard right parasternal and left apical views
• Basic M-mode measurements
• Fundamental echocardiographic terminology and image acquisitionThis is not a beginner-level workshop. Participants without prior echocardiography experience may find the course difficult to follow.
